Through The Keyhole - Scraps N Pieces November Challenge

Hello everyone!

What inspired me, was the idea of the bedroom as the most private space in a house, and how someone can sneek through the keyhole and reveal a lady’s secrets!

So, there it is

Through The Keyhole

I created my tag out of packaging cardboard, I always keep in my stash.
For the keyhole shape, I was inspired by some Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Key Holes I bought a while ago.

I created the keyhole with IOD SiliconMolds and Prima Paper Clay.
For the base coats, I used DecoartChalky Finish paints in light pink and grey shades. Because I used chalky finish paints, I didn’t bother to gesso the surface.

I created a very realistic, grainy rusted surface, by mixing Art Basics Black Gesso, Viva Décor Paper Rust and Pentart Mineral Powder - Leucit Fine. My favorite “rust” recipe so far!

I glued all my elements and embellishments with Art Basics Soft Matte Gel.

Also, for a realistic effect, I used some pieces of dry paint from the paints’ lids, which I collaged on my tag with matte gel.

I accented the whole tag, by using Prima Metallic Accents. I didn’t water down the colors too much. I wanted to have them really rich and intense on my project. Also did some background stamping with Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black.

I hope you like it!
